Back room deals, and closed door meetings are the only thing we know about this bill.
This thing is being crammed right down our throats by the most left wing, self serving government that has ever been in existence.

The people do not want this, they do not want this bill, and they do not want a government that conducts business like this.

Why cant the time and energy that is being put on bankrupting the country be spent on our economy and cleaning up the way these people just burn through our money ?

Why cant they just stop and instead of debating on what bills need to be read, and who gets to speak for another 2 minutes, why not take a week or two and read the constitution ?

Why not go over the oath of office that they took and remember what their responsibilities are ?

A message to any Liberal or left wing bloggers that may stop in, do not be surprised in 2010 when all of these people get swept out of D.C. and don't be surprised when Obama leaves in 2012 wearing Jimmy Carter's crown

I had missed some of the Glenn Beck episodes, and was checking them out today.
I came across this piece on Sen. Ben Nelson



Do you really think Glenn had to check 3 times to make sure this story was on the level ?
I don't think so, because I don't think this administration is beyond bribery.
I did get this clip from YouTube, and I always check out the comments, and I have noticed the same comments from the same people.
It seems that a limited number of people do their best to put negative comments on clips that discredit Obama and his crew, and they always have the same things to say.
Calling the right crazy, and the tea party movement racist and redneck.
I wonder if it is just one person that just has the hots for Obama, you know just a crush thing, and they hate to see anyone say anything bad about him.
I have found that some cities on the R&R section of Craigslist have the man-crush guys for Obama, and they seem to be on 24/7
What they cant flag and get deleted, they respond to with the typical cracks at Palin and Bush to throw people off the subject.
I am all for free speech, but you would think that just 10 minutes out of the day, these left wing nuts would take a picture of Obama into the bathroom and........well........
You know.

A couple hours south east of D.C. I just took a walk outside and we have about 3 to 4 inches of snow.
It is coming down hard in tiny little flakes, and it just has that feeling that it is going to be here a while.
I tell you this because the snow that is passing over me is about to cripple Washington D.C., and will send them into a panic.
The best part is all the overtime going on with the idiots working to spend everything they can, they will be stranded.
I have a little knowledge of the Northern Va. and the D.C. residents, and just the thought of some snow would get them upset. The forecast for up to 2 feet will put them on life support.
I have my fireplace, some home made soup ready, water stored, batteries in my radio, and a mason jar with a half a peach floating in it.

Larry King had Ron Paul and Barney Frank on the other night.
When you get these two together, it is not hard to judge their character



To begin with, Ron Paul was right to the point. He knew what he was saying, and he did not have to think back and remember what lie he had told.
Poor Barney was stuttering and stammering around, and he was interrupting Ron whenever something was said that would make Barney look bad.
Barney even made a point to throw Bush under the bus.
Larry King brought up Fannie and Freddie and Barney had a fit, and jumped right back at him.
In the end, Ron was not flustered, and was even laughing a little, but you could tell that he was not going to waste his time arguing with an idiot.
at the end of the clip, Barney looks mad, he looks as if he is thinking to himself that he should have never sat near Ron because he would never be able to talk his way out of his mistakes.
He looks angry, and he does not really look at the camera, and when he does look up, he looks ashamed.
Ron Paul does not look ashamed, he looks like " That's right Barney, I said it !, And I got a lot more to say ! "
He looks like he has nothing to hide, and he looks proud.
Let's see, when we elect someone to go to D.C. to represent us, to handle our money, and our future, and our security, what kind of person do we want when they are called to answer questions from the media ?

It seems that whatever justice that was going to be handed down to the men that decided to stand in front of a polling place with some sort of stick or baton were just let off the hook.

I would bet that Matthews would dedicate an entire half hour on the hundred or so ways that I could kill or maim someone with my stick, and that the police would have no choice but to shoot to kill so that order could be restored
OK, back to reality, these guys got a few minutes on the Obama networks, but not much else, and now when it is time to pay for breaking the law, they get a pass.
It seems that our Associate Attorney General Thomas J Perrelli made the decision not to prosecute
Lets see now, if you are on the Obama team, you get a pass.

SEIU And Union Tactics

In my chosen profession of over 28 years, we have turned the union away many times.

As a group, we did listen to the pro's and con's, and were offered to many things that sounded like nothing more than bribes to sign on to the union plan.

When we voted back in the late 80's not to join into the " Brotherhood " of electrical workers, we spent the next 2 months with vandalized trucks, completed work that was later destroyed, and eventually an altercation on a job site that the union was not prepared for.

We never backed down from our decision, and as employees, we felt that we did not loose out on pay or benefits.

For that matter, because the unions were not involved in wage, leave, and insurance packages, our company could bid jobs at a more cost effective rate and keep us working.

I do not like any type of union, and think that it is a legal form of extortion.

That being said, now we have the biggest union guy Andy Stern dropping by the White House more than any other advisor, and working with Obama.

In his own words he has no problem using power to force people to do what he wants them to do.

President Obama is a strong supporter of Stern and SEIU, and declared he would paint the nation purple.

Is Stern and the SEIU members the muscle Obama plans to use to force the American people to do what he wants, or is Stern using them to force Obama to do the bidding of the unions ?

Putting Madoff in jail did not really hurt him, leaving him and his wife homeless under a bridge with no food would have punished him.

As some of you may know, I frequent a little restaurant where I live most mornings for breakfast, a few cups of coffee, to keep up with our local news, and to hear every ones opinion on politics.
The group of people there consist of farmers, loggers, some small business people, and a few retirees
I knew It would be a hot morning after the Obama speech, so I got in and prepared for for a few hours of heated debate.
Boy was I way off.
Very little debate, and very little discussion at all.
Mostly what I heard from these people was that they were disappointed.
They are sick and tired of Obama and the rest of the left wing circus in D.C., and with Obama standing in front of us and turning against our troops, our security, and turning against what he had said during the campaign.
Listen to any of the polls or any of the news casters you choose, but real America is disappointed in Obama

The security of the nation is important.

Wait a minute, Obama parades up to West Point to make his grand announcement to reveal the efforts of 3 months of thought.
Has the world tune in to hear how he is going to take the reigns and show the world his greatness
Instead, in front of some of the best military minds, on some of the most prestigious military ground, Obama tucked his tail and once again gave the rest of the world another reason to laugh at us

3 months thinking about this and this is what Obama brings us

This act of weakness, this act of defiance towards his military on the ground that are actually doing the fighting are threats to our national security

If this is the best Obama can offer the people that stand between our country and the terrorists that threaten it, maybe then the best thing would be to bring them home

If our own President will not commit to win the war, then why should we continue to fight half way for 18 months ?

The Blame Game

No doubt the left wing media is in party mode right now.
Many of the left wing blogs that I have been to today have jumped on the Mike Huckabee story.
They are all ready to lay the blame on Mike's doorstep for the actions of an ex-con that has now turned cop killer.
I watched a video on a site that will remain nameless here that included bits and pieces of a radio interview that tried to cast the former Governor as blaming everyone but himself for reducing the sentence of Maurice Clemmons.
I went back and searched for the interview and found that Blitzer had done a little doctoring to Huckabee's words.
For me, I would rather see someone explain something, at least then I can tell if they look away, or fidget, or even read from a paper or even a prompter.
I checked and sure enough, big bad Bill O'Riley had him on tonight.
I was expecting a "softball " kind of question and answer session, out of respect to the former Governor, but Bill was on the ball




Now a couple of questions of my own.
If the left leaning media and the bloggers want to throw some mud at Huckabee, why not throw some at the 2 judges that let the guy out on $15,000 dollars bail ?
They could use a little, don't you think ?
What about the parole board that voted 5-0 , and the judge that recommended to Huckabee that the sentence be commuted ?
These are the people that would have known this cop killer best.
Without a doubt, it was Huckabee's decision to make, and one that he will have to live with.

Looking at blogs tonight, I read a few that mentioned Iran's large scale war games.

It is deer season where I live, and I am busy stocking the freezer, so I am not so much into the news channel on the weekend.

Don't get me wrong, I still care what is happening in our country, and I do keep informed, but if I do not take a break from the madness that is erupting out of our nations capitol, I think I will pull my hair out.

Anyway, On a particular site, I read about the games, and my blog hopping stopped and I went to my news sources on the net.

From what I gather, this 5 day drill is being run by Gen. Ahmad Mighani, who is the head of the air force unit that responds to threats in Iran's air space

Practice protecting their airspace from intruders, yeah that sounds reasonable

I wonder if it has anything to do with the S-300 Anti-Aircraft missiles they are waiting for that are coming from Russia ?

You know, the ones that were delayed because of what Iran claims, were not delivered because the United States and Israel pressured Russia not to send ?

How much longer are we going to deal with this nut job ? and for that matter, how much longer are we going to play " cops " over there in the middle east ?

We need to approach this problem like a band-aid, rip it off fast in one swipe.

That is what should have happened over there, level the place, wipe it out, burn it down, and then till it under, start all over again.

Yeah, yeah, I know, innocent women and children, civilians, and all that.

Look, they are getting killed every day, and they make no effort to get away, or try to end the problems, some aid the Taliban. If they are sacrificing now, just throw all the cards on the table and be done with it

He had made comments about the shooting in Little Rock that he was happy about what had happened.

People had made comments, and had reported this guy to the military, but nothing was done.

Just weeks ago, Officials were ready to expel a first grader because he brought his cub scout knife to school to eat his lunch with, and in another incident a senior in high school, an eagle scout, hoping to continue his education at West Point, was facing suspension from school because he had a 2 inch knife in his emergency kit in the trunk of his car.

Anyone else see something wrong here ?

Could it be that the military was just to lazy to check out a potential threat ? Or could it be that they had feared being accused of profiling because of who the shooter was today ?

I have seen on Fox today that the tea party bus is on the move again.

My Good Deed

Rain rain rain.
We got a lot of it today.
Started around 10 AM, and had at least an inch by 3 this afternoon.
The leaves being blown off the trees onto the road made some turns and intersections like trying to stop on ice.
We have a lot of visitors come around here on the weekends since we have George Washington's boyhood home, and Stratford Hall, and James Monroe's home, and a few other places people like to visit, and they are not used to driving the back roads, much less under adverse conditions like we had today.
A few of us had decided to put out some crab pots one last time earlier in the day, and I had decided to drive down to the boat dock and check to see if the boats were still tied off OK, and shoot the breeze with the others for a while, just an excuse to get out of the house really.
Well, on the way home, Just past Monroe Hall, I saw some flashing lights, and I knew what it was before I got there, because when you come out of Monroe's home, you crest a hill and come to a stop sign in a short distance, and the combination of that, and the hard rain, and the slick leaves had left a family stuck in a ditch.
Without asking, I just pulled around them, and then back up some, got out and hooked my chain to their tow mount on the frame, and then to my hitch on the truck, I went to the window and told the guy just put it in neutral and turn the wheels and I will ease it out.
Sure enough, a minute later he was out, and I was unhooking the chain. He got out and said " I tried to call for a tow, but had no cell signal ". I said " yeah, signal is a little weak down here ".
He then said " can I pay you something ? " I said no.
He then said " you still have a McCain sticker on your truck, you guy's do know Obama won right, ha ha "
I guess I should have charged him
But anyway, it's always nice to help someone, made me think of this song

Still Thinkin About It

The last couple of days, I have been just sick of hearing about our Government.
I felt completely weak and useless against the people in power that are supposed to be working for us.
The one thing that really iced the cake for my mood was a blog post that I read at a good friends site that had a link to Obama website, and discussed dismantling Israel, and gas chambers.
She was not only angry, but afraid.
The president of her country condoning acts like this, and no one takes a second look ?
She ended her post by asking who would stand and say this is not right ? Who would say Obama is breaking our laws by allowing this to happen ?
I have never met her, never spoke to her, only friends with her through the blog world, but I told her in her comments that I would stand up, and I say every day what he is doing wrong.
I also told her if the need ever came, she could leave the city and seek refuge here with me and my family.
That really burns my ass that an American citizen is fearful of their own country. How much worse is this going to get ?
Well, I actually turned on Fox News today to watch Glenn, this Chicago style stuff is incredible



I don't know what to think anymore, but I do know this.
I am making room for some house guests
I am going to put an extra 20 or 30 pounds of potato's in the cellar
I am glad Deer season starts next weekend so I can load the freezer

But first, I am going to watch a couple John Wayne movies

I wonder what the Obama administration is going to give to those guys for doing that.
Did you catch Bill reporting about the private meeting with the New York Times people ?
It must have been time to get the stories for the coming week.
I poke fun at this, but it's really not funny. The White House is spoon feeding the media and directing them as to what you need to know and what you do not need to know.
Back to the talking points, Obama, and the White House is going after Fox News, and now the Chamber of Commerce, I guess they have nothing better to do.
Put Afghanistan on the back burner,
give Charlie Rangell some time to get his accounts together,
make sure John Murtha hides some stuff in one of those hangars at that big airport he built that no one uses, and, oh yeah,
ACORN is out there flappin in the breeze, let's make sure the get some papers shredded and some files thrown out

ENOUGH !
Enough of this.
I don't care if Obama is pickin on Fox.
It just means they are getting it right.
And you want to know something else ?
I am tired of hearing of how screwed up Obama and his left wing, Marxist, socialist, Communist, whatever they think they are at this point in time people are !
IT IS ENOUGH !
Now is the time to act. You have told us they are bad.
you have shown us the video's, played us the soundbites, and had the estimators, and the annalists.

Greta was back tonight and she was on fire.
She was not at all happy with the fact that the white house thinks that Fox News is something less than a news program
I guess she showed them
Now I would like to make a couple of points.
First off, these people report this stuff, expose these people, show us the corruption, and lay out how radical this administration is EVERY DAY around the clock.
They back up what they say with video, soundbites, and documents, and catch the people with a camera and a mic for their side of the story, and they usually run off, but they bring this to you every day.
Many of you that have read this far are sitting in the same boat as I am, but I ask those others out there that think Fox News is a big joke........
What do you think, Fox News makes this stuff up ? Do you think they are like the tabloids of the cable news world ?
The second thing I would like to ask is why do you continue to rely on a news source that does not report on ALL the news ?
The big story now is Anita Dunn being a fan of a man that murdered 70 million or so people.
Does that bother you at all ?
You see, if the media will not tell you about that, what else will they not tell you ?
Or should I say, what will Obama not allow them to tell you ?
What ? Obama has no control over the media ?

"Senators Warner, Webb, and Congressman Cantor Reject 6,000 Petition Signatures"

That's right.
They just don't care about what the people that they work for want

I read this press release today....

Richmond, VA -
Six thousand Richmond area residents have signed a petition protesting nationalized health care, but Warner, Webb and Cantor refuse to personally meet to acknowledge the petition despite multiple requests.

"I don't understand how an elected official can ignore that level of opposition," said Mechanicsville resident, Kevin Dumville. "When these petitions are laid down end-to-end, they stretch longer than a football field."




"The petition signatures represent genuine concern of taxpayers about government take-over of our health care system," said Sara James of Midlothian. "The signatures were gathered through face-to-face meet-ups at festivals, neighborhood walks and in our workplaces. We expect our elected representatives to at least feign interest in the will of the people, but when we requested meetings to personally deliver the petitions, we were rebuffed at every turn. These politicians have repeatedly demonstrated no interest in the opinions of thousands of voters in their districts. Warner, Webb and Cantor should be ashamed of themselves!"

Corky Mann of Henrico, a relative newcomer to the political process, expressed dismay about the lack of response by his representatives. "These politicians seem to forget that we hired them, and we expect them to be responsive and considerate of our opinions, not to mention the fact we expect, at a minimum, a reverence for the Constitution, which these health care bills clearly ignore."

The petition states: "We the People of Virginia demand that the Federal Government remain within its Constitutional boundaries on health care. We reject any of the following: Government-run health insurance; One-size government-dictated package of health benefits; New job-killing mandates on employers; Federal medical mandates that violate State Sovereignty; Requirement on individuals to buy medical insurance coverage; Federal institution that controls private health insurance; Government intrusion into our medical privacy; Taxpayer dollars for euthanasia, or life ending services; Medical coverage for illegal immigrants at taxpayer expense."

A Speech In Texas

A cowboy was attending a social function where Barack Obama is trying to gather more support for his Health Plan.

Once he discovers a cowboy is in the crowd, he starts to belittle him by talking in a southern drawl and single syllable words.

As he was doing that, he kept swatting at some flies that were buzzing around his head.

The cowboy says, "Y'all havin' some problem with them circle flies?"

Obama stopped talking and said, "Well, yes, if that's what they're called, but I've never heard of circle flies."

"Well Sir," the cowboy replies, "circle flies hang around ranches. They're called circle flies because they're almost always found circling around the back end of a horse."

"Oh," Obama replies as he goes back to rambling.

But, a moment later he stops and bluntly asks, "Are you calling me a horse's ass?"

"No, Sir," the cowboy replies, "I have too much respect for the citizens of this country to call their President a horse's ass."

" That's a good thing " says Obama, and he starts rambling to the crowd again

After a long pause, the cowboy, in his best Texas drawl says,

"Hard to fool them flies, though."
