Grassley Says.....

Sounds like common sense to me, and it shows some promise that our representatives are listening,

BUT

I see, lets blame Sarah Palin for starting the end of life rumor, and listen to someone that talks to us in her " mom " voice and basically tells us to shut up and do what we tell you.

McCaskill wants to work on our deficit, well why not end the spending ?

Did he say pure as snow ?

The Government relies on emergencies to implement certain provisions embedded in the health care bill.

In their minds, 15 to 40 year olds are the most productive to our country.

Who gets the care when we encounter a shortage of doctors or medicine ?

Will they allow life saving procedures on someone that statistically has just a few years left to live ?

Will they allow a newborn that entered this world with health problems the chance to live, even though they may not be as productive as a regular child ?

It is no wonder support for the bill, and support for Obama is dropping on a daily basis

Grassley is correct. They don't like it do they. The truth is coming out and they don't like it. My husband and I have made those plans. We made them, not the government. This is how it should be.

Have a terrific day. :)

OY you are so right. I have trolls on my blog and twitter now who are more angry with me than the facts. They just can't handle the truth.

I'm Canadian. We have a great Health Care System. It does need improvements. The Canadian Government gives free health care and welfare to illegal immigrants. Unfortunately, it seems the U.S. is going to take the worst policies from the Canadians.

@ Sandee
You are 100% right. Plans should be made when you are ready, and with family, not your government

@ Lauren
They do seem to upset that people are not just giving in to what they want.
The trolls are just waiting for their handouts

@ Tricia
There are good and bad points with the healthcare you recieve up there, but a government that cant keep a post office going should not be responsible for anyone health

The healthcare debate has gone beyond ordinary. It's now in far-left land, where anyone opposing it becomes a terrorist... which is ironic considering that liberals let REAL terrorists off the hook.

Here's the usual conversation between Concerned Citizen and Liberal Zealot.

CC: What about Costs?
LZ: Bush got us in debt!

CC: What exactly does 'public option' mean?
LZ: Insurance companies are the devil!

CC: I don't want my medicare tampered with; I want it fixed!
LZ: Racist!

CC: The confusing rhetoric in the bill has what appears to be the makings of the 'death panels.'
LZ: Palin's dumb!

CC: Why was the supposed 'death panel' part removed if it was a lie?
LZ: Huh? This bill is a proposal, not the final draft. Who are you? Palin?

CC: Will illegals be insured?
LZ: Read the bill!

CC: But it's not 'final' you said.
LZ: Don't tell me what I said, racist!

CC: Why not allow country-wide private insurance competition for starters, as a way to help?
LZ: Why fix the current system? The idea is a NEW government-run system.

CC: Okay. Explain the PLAN to me, not the VISION.
LZ:

CC: Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm not liking this plan. It's confusing, plus there are far easier and less intrusive ways.
LZ: Racist!

They better enjoy it while they can. The American people will NOT be making this mistake again.

Just to clarify things for those who insist on making this far more political than it needs to be.

There are no Death Panels.

This is a fallacy. What the bill calls for is for physicians to be allowed to be reimbursed for time spent discussing advance directives. Advance Directives were originally put in place in 1990/1991 as part of the Patient Self Determination Act. It means that hospitals, nursing homes, etc have to discuss this with you.

Pretty simple stuff and it's been in place for nearly 20 years. If you don't want to let doctors be paid for it then fine, I'm sure it could easily be dropped from the plans.

Waaa, waaa, waaa.

You and your tribe lost, asshole.

You bet on the wrong horses for 30 years and now somebody else is collecting on the winning bets.

Line up for your soap and quit complaining.

Everything will be just the same as it ever was, except now you'll be unhappy and I'll still be happy.

Yawn.
