Same Old Thing

I had to go back and look for this old pic, I used it in a few post some time ago when I was trying to make a point about some folks that just did not want to take a good look around at what was really going on in the world
Today I listened to a news report about how the Government is planning to do away with the emergency response system we have now, you know the one that interrupts the TV and radio with the loud beeping and then tells you " This is just a test "
From what I understand, we are to get special chips in our cell phones that will alert us to danger, special messages straight from the desk of Obama.
That would put them right in my pocket, capable of contacting me, and keeping track of me, maybe like a little lojack thing.
That doesn't sound like freedom, sounds like someone watching over me.
Which is why I posted my head in the sand pic.
Didn't we hear back when this Obama debacle started that our rights and liberties would be slowly chipped away ?
Didn't I use this pic to demonstrate what those that just stood by and did nothing, or followed blindly looked like ?
Hate to say I told you so.

What Brought You To This Place ?

I crossed over to the left tonight, left wing blogs that is, and stopped at a site I have been leaving some comments on.

It started because he had some cartoons of Mitch McConnell riding a military style elephant, sword in hand, and it was referencing the fact that the Republicans are taking a stand about the tax cuts.

We had some back and forth, I threw some facts and numbers at him, he attacked me and made out that I was an idiot, and I said that maybe I was a little more than he could handle, and then tipped my hat and left it at that.

Tonight, I stopped in, and saw there were comments to my defense, but I left it alone, but checked the newer post.

The post was complaining about the Republicans holding up the tax cuts, but what got me was in the comments section.

The first commenter had called people that were not following along with this " Progressive Agenda " , he was calling them ' Pigheaded ". He also talked how the new congress would find it difficult to " Radically Upset the System "

While I was reading these things, I was feeling like I had snuck into a private meeting and was reading things not meant for me to see, like a secret spy, but then it became real to me.

I see these things on the news, and I know these people exist, and I have been in forums and have had some great debate with some left wing people over issues, but for some reason when I read these words tonight, it just slapped me in the face.

I did leave a comment myself, at first, I wanted to say something just to let them know I was there, and let them know I read those words, and knew their evil plans.

But it is everywhere, it is all around us, it is slowly consuming every part of our lives, so I asked simply.........

" What brought you to this place ?

After everything every American has endured and suffered through to get to where we are today, to even allow you and I the freedom to debate who may be right or wrong, why would you allow the same threat into our Government, and our lives that our Fathers and Grandfathers fought to destroy years ago ? "

Why do they do it ?

What makes them decide that the American way of life, the same kind life that people cross oceans for, and climb fences for, and risk death for, the same way of life that affords them safety, and protection to speak, what makes it so bad that they would want to destroy it, and bring about a " Progressive Agenda "

What brought them to this place ?

Beck Rally

I want to drop my two cents off and say that I thought Glenn did a good thing on Saturday.
It was emotional, spiritual, and it was honest.
For those that condemn, and to look for a hidden message, or use images of the third Reich, or even the KKK in relation to what happened, then you are lost.
Not just a lost soul, but lost as an American.

The only good thing I heard from the Rev. Al's talk, was to smile.
Absolutely no content.
A shining example of what this great Nation has come to

A treaty that overrides our own Constitution ?
A treaty that will allow a global community to take away our freedom and prosperity forever ?
Why is Obama in favor for a world government ?, Why does the left hate our way of life so much ? How did it get so bad ?

If we, as Americans allow Obama to sign this treaty we will never be able to reverse this, and we will be at the mercy of the communist world government.

Is That all You Got ?

Cruising around the blogs today, I noticed a new trend.
I really hate to beat a dead horse again, but a few are screaming racism.
Without pointing fingers, I read today that some bloggers really believe that the reason people are becoming outraged at the cap and trade, and health care reform, and the out of control spending is simply because Obama is black.
I have to say, is that all you got ?



I would like to see some shred of proof that the current town hall outbursts, and the tea parties, and and the large numbers of people yelling 'Hear our voice " are racially motivated.
Why not read the health care bill, or read more on the affects of cap and trade, or investigate where the stimulus money is.
If the best you can do is cry that Obama is being resisted because he is black, well then....



Opposition to these new spending bills, and calling the protesters right wing fringe mobs, and turning his back on the United States and the American people are the reason that Obama is having trouble.
That and bringing in a tax cheat to run the IRS,
Appointing a self proclaimed communist as a czar
Appointing another czar that has pushed involuntary sterilization
Should I go on ?

Welcome To Socialism

Uncle Sam is fading fast. Obama and the Dems are moving fast to end life in this country as we know it.
Obama signed the spending bill today, and first thing Wednesday morning they will begin spending our futures away

I can hear his thoughts now, singing in his head " This land is my land, it sure aint your land."

Have 40 some odd percent of the United States lost their minds ? Am I the only one here that can see what is going on ?
Maybe it is a lack of understanding, I am not calling people stupid ( cough cough ) but maybe some folks just do not have any idea where these actions and ideas can lead us
I found a cartoon that shocked me when I first saw it It was made in 1948 at Harding College and it gives the most simple explanation to where we are headed that I have seen so far. It is a little over 9 minutes, but well worth your time

Say what you think, not yell

What would you put up with ? How far are you willing to go ? In our united states, we are allowed a say, our voice to be heard, to speak out against issues and actions that we disagree with. But are we allowed to speak it in the right place and to the right person ? What if only a small group of people had the same disagreement, maybe to few to be noticed or heard. Do they count? I think they do. And I am glad that forums like this exist to make it possible to get a message out. I read your messages, and I contemplate your views without judgement, so never think that you are not heard. That being said, I would go as far as praising someone who is willing to publish their beliefs and try to bring out a wrong that has gone unnoticed. I can put up with views that are different than mine, but I draw the line at someone criticizing me for what I believe and trying to change my opinion. I will not make a snap judgement on issues, I will take the time to get the facts and become informed before I settle in to an opinion. Today, I came out from the store and had obsenities yelled at me because of a sticker on the back of my truck. The sticker announced my choice for candidate, which I believe I am entitled to display. I can tolerate a thumbs down, or maybe a sour face, but why the cursing and name calling ? Is that freedom of speech ? I think not. But that is just my opinion. I was free to shrug it off and not make a scene. To go home and light my grill and BBQ my pork chops and corn on the cob. To turn on the TV I have out on my back porch and watch the Simpsons and Sinefield. To enjoy my ice tea and feel the breeze blow through my porch. Freedom is a fantastic thing, allthough it has different meanings for different people. My one voice will be heard on election day, and I will be happy with whatever the outcome. I am happy that we are free to at least have the choice. That's my thought for today, peace, love, and BBq pork chops
