A Post Turtle

While stitching a cut on the hand of a 75 year old Texas rancher, whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Obama as our new President.

The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Obama is a 'post turtle'.' Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was.

The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'.'

The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain. 'You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he is up there, and you just wonder what kind of a dumb ass put him up there to begin with.'

I read this joke on a DC Craigslist post today and could not even laugh. It is funny, but we have no reason to laugh.

I see the return of the Clinton era, and if I am not mistaken, that is not the change that was promised, but a return to the old days. I guess there is a big fence post in DC

I will save that for another day, because what did make me laugh today is that Franken went to work this morning

Yeah, he will bring us change.

Meanwhile, Burris was handed his coat and sent out the door.

I knew it would happen, but I don't think it was the right thing to do to him. I know, Blogo has a lot of accusations swirling around him, but in this country we are presumed innocent, correct ? I still think Blogo will sing a tune the Dems will not want to hear when the time comes, but until then, I think Burris should get in there and get to work with the rest of the DC boys and girls.

The other thing that made me laugh today is this guy

Oh yeah, Panetta over the CIA. Maybe he can investigate what is being smoked or drank over in the Obama headquarters.

But then, maybe it was a mistake, maybe they heard Obama wrong.

Maybe the phone was broken

Why Caroline ?

Why Caroline ? Would it have anything to do with standing up for Obama ? Does the name Kennedy make her qualified ? Would it have anything to do with keeping the same ideas in place that have sent DC into a bottomless pit ?
She may do a great job, and she may have some wonderful ideas, but will she be able to pursue any under the shadow of Uncle Ted ?
Could there be no one more deserving, or even less attached to the political machine that is still scratching its head over the economy, terrorism, global warming, and what party to attend after Obama gets sworn in ?


And why meet with big Al ? Who is he supposed to be ? Does a blessing need to be granted by a black person to show New York that she can be a friend to Obama ?
This country with all its political correctness, and fear of offending someone, and trying to associate yourself with someone because of color is heading into a direction that we should have avoided.
Unity, and bringing people together does not begin by having you picture taken with someone, and then yelling " I am one of you "

What does Blogo Know ?

It's a rough group up there in Chicago, and it seems like it should take the slogan " The city that never sleeps " I would imagine that it would be hard to get any rest in Chicago because everyone is in bed with each other

Could Blogo be the guy that exposes us to the fire that is creating all the smoke that surrounds Obama ? I would hope so, To be honest with everyone, I thought it would take a lot longer for something like this to happen

Now let me say that I did see the press conference after Blogo was arrested, and what I heard when asked about a connection between the charges against Blogo and Obama was " not at this time ". Well no one knows what connection Obama had, and Obama said that he has no connection with the man

OK, yeah, I hear ya, Mr Clean, the Senator representing Illinois not meeting with the Governor. That makes a lot of sense to me. They both come from the same dismal pool of people that should have been looked at closer during the election.

Even if Obama did not sit down with Blogo, he could have got his message to him, I am sure that he has enough sense to distance himself from the dirt

What do we do know ? Corruption in DC is rampant, and I see no repair. Now we are weeks away from a different class of criminal, and weeks away from the hands of someone we know nothing about.

Can we rely on the FBI to bring it all out ? Its possible.

But they better do it before January 20th.

It Just Get's Better And Better

I am happy tonight as I sit here and try to write. Happy for one, because I am able to do so, but even more, I am so happy that we are getting close to the " I told you so's "
Yup, it won't be much longer now. The good Rev. Wright was in church Sunday and gave us all a view into the next four years




Hey, the bailout mess is going great. I am glad to see all the money that our people in DC decided to pass around is going to good use. I chose to use this video because at the end of the clip, a question was asked that should the workers get the money that they have worked for, or should they be punished
Do we really have to text an answer in to that question ?




More troops heading off to war. In case you missed the numbers, it was 3,000 in January, and another 20,000 more in the next 12 months
I am not against the war, and I think that we should have hit them even harder than we did.
I am proud of what Bush has done to keep any more attacks from happening here in the US
I am also happy that all the idiots that voted with a big cup of Kool-Aid in their hands will not see Obama bring the troops home in a year
He won't do it because he can't
He won't save your house, he won't send you big fat government checks in the mail, he will not even give you the peace, love and prosperity you wish for because he can't.
Don't get me wrong, McCain would not end the war, and probably not be able to save your home.
But he told you that
He told you these things in the beginning, and it was not what a larger percentage of the voting public wanted to hear.
Guess what ?
You people are going to hear it now. You are going to see it. Go back and take a good look at those factory workers. any of us could be next.
I do not lay the blame for what is happening on Obama's doorstep, and the debate as to who is to blame could last for years.
Obama said he had a better plan and I did not agree, but he is who we are stuck with
