Lightning Strikes Approach Washington

Oh yeah, lightning is going to be striking all over D.C. now. I cant believe people can look at us through a camera and let the crap fall out of their mouths like it did today. The first one to be struck is
This piece of garbage. She tried to lay blame, listen...

She knows what the problem is. Here is a great example

Years ago we had deadly Tylenol. The government rushed in and confiscated the remaining bottles, investigated why and how it happened, and used it's power to bring about the sealed containers.
There was a problem with Firestone tires on new vehicles blowing out and causing SUV's to crash, and people were getting killed. The government investigated and worked to have a recall so the defective tires could be replaced.
Where was the government when the sub-prime mess started ? Did they issue a warning, or let us know about the predatory lending practices that were happening ? George Bush was warning us back in 2001.

John McCain told us about the problems back in 2006

By the way, did you notice the change in Barney's views on the whole thing ? There's another lightning strike for ya

Obama And His Friends

I came across a great video I had to share

And while I am posting great video, check out this one from a Canadian

Some interesting information. After that, what else can I say ?

LIES !

Why go on TV and tell us this crap ? Were you afraid McCain was on his way ? Why was everyone against McCain being there to help get things going ? This is not a new problem, and these guys have been working on it for days ! McCain says he is coming to town and you rush out and shout that you have the solutions. NObama did not want anything to do with the discussions, but GW said get in here now, so he had to come. The Republicans are holding things up, but it is because they are looking out for us, not trying to keep the crooks that got us into this safe.

I am glad McCain decided to go to the debate tonight, and with no pre-written comments or answers for NObama, we will all be able to see him for what he really is. He sure was hot to get out of DC

These liars are sending reports that a plan will be reached sometime Friday night, after the debate, well maybe so, but the market is closed all weekend, so they can sit around all weekend and argue if they like.

Is this our future ? How many of us are a couple paychecks away from losing everything ? The next few days will tell, and no one is safe

Do Your F%$#IN JOB !

Why the hell is the media criticizing McCain for doing his job. We have a problem and it is not going to be an easy fix. I agree that we should not jump into a plan that is only half thought, but the answers are simple, and this can be signed in now.

I will not waste time debating who is at fault, and I will not try to explain the best options that will benefit all of us. I will say that when the markets open on Monday, we should have a plan in place to begin our economic rebuild. We can point fingers and drag the crooks to jail later. If your house is on fire, will you stop to strangle the cat that knocked over the candle, or call 911 to put the fire out ? It's not rocket science !

Did you see NObama's response to all this ? He wants to continue the campaign and have the debate. What about us ! If we are going to have to pay over $3000.00 dollars to help bail out Wall Street, shouldn't he be there looking out for us ? It seems he just does not care about how much money he pulls out of my paycheck

As I write this, GW is having a sit down with McCain and Obama and a few of the committee members to clean this bill up and get it done. I am glad SOMEONE is willing to do their job

This stuff is so easy, we all know what needs to be done, why don't they just get off their ass and do it. Remember this ad

Hell, I could do that, We need to save the economy people ?

YEAH !

We need to put the ones that cheated us in jail and take the money back ?

YEAH !

Should we make sure people can have a house to live in, and food to eat, and a job to go to ?

YEAH !

How about we all take a pay cut to help out with this crisis ?

.............................................

Hello ? Hey ? Where did everybody go ?

Politics Are Funny

I was looking through some articles on the Internet about Teddy Roosevelt concerning his campaign, and it seemed every time I typed a search using the keywords election, or campaign, or candidate, I would come across these pictures and articles that people are looking at thousands of time a day.

Does this have any bearing on the outcome of the election ? Yes it does, because after the speeches, and debates, and all the town hall meetings, it will come down to a critical phrase or statement.

Not to be biased towards the candidates

Just think how much mileage this clip has gotten

Forget about the polls, and the attack ads, and everything else that happens in the next few weeks. Just be on the lookout for that moment when someone records a statement, or gets a video clip that will be exploited

Oh My ! How did that get in there ?

Dial " DEM " For Hot Chat ?

Democrats dialing for their democratic office got more than what they were looking for. It seems that a misprint in the Sussex New Jersey white pages led callers to a phone sex chat line

Well, I guess that's one way to collect some campaign dollars. The number has been corrected, and if you call 411, you can get through to the Dem's office. The printed number will be corrected in the next printing of the phone book. The owner of the sex chat line would not comment on the story, and is seen here on her way to work.

I would much rather read blogs than books or newspapers

I prefer sweet iced tea over soda's

I have 1 daughter and 4 sons

I am addicted to all the law and order programs

I have lived in Virginia all my life, except for a short time in Georgia

I know nothing about the computer, or the Internet. I am only taking baby steps around here

I would rather hunt and fish, than type on my keyboard, but at this time I am not able to go outside much

I had no interest in politics until I started reading about them on other peoples blogs. That is the reason I started one

No One Above The Law

Have you heard what Biden has said about the Bush administration ? They are looking to pursue criminal action against Bush for crimes commited while fighting the war against terrorists. He was quoted as saying " Not out of vengeance, not out of retribution. Out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president — no one is above the law "

Oh really ? Well let's go after them all. I wonder if he will include the......

29 that have been accused of spousal abuse

7 that have been arrested for fraud

19 that have been accused of writing bad checks

117 who have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

3 who have done time for assault

71 that cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

14 that have been arrested on drug-related charges

8 that have been arrested for shoplifting

21 that are currently defendants in lawsuits

84 that have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is? It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group that cranks out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

I wonder if Obama and Biden Know of this quote from Lincoln ? They are all criminals, all corrupt, and all work to better themselves. At least Bush has kept us from living through another 9/11, and I don't care how he did it.

** NOTE **

For those who wrote about my daughter, I have heard from her and she is OK. Thanks

Fair And Balanced ?

I know the story about Olbermann and Matthews getting pulled from the election coverage is not new, but I enjoy knowing that the few who claimed that the media was treating both sides fairly, now have to wash some egg off of their face.

The claim of the Republican bashing is not new, and it has been an ongoing debate between bloggers for weeks. The bias, in my opinion, became blatant at the DNC. It seemed some of the commentators twisted speeches to convey a message that did not exist. Hillary gave a good speech, and talked more of unity and progress within her party, than why we need to vote for Obama. Many news people were falling all over themselves to give praise, but had to search for a credible reason

What about Gibson and Palin ? Did he throw her some curve balls ? Many are highlighting the Bush Doctrine question. That question was a joke. Why do I say that ?

I think that the more these " news people " try to dig into the republicans, the more that the real unbiased news people will call them out. This race gets better and better.

Before I go, I have to say GOD BLESS TEXAS, and please keep everyone down there safe, My daughter lives just south of Houston, and I have not heard from her since Friday morning

Where Were You ?

Do you remember where you were when we were ATTACKED ? It is important that you do. It's important to remember how you felt. We should all remember what we heard and what we saw, and we should have learned something from it all

When it happened, I lived about 40 miles south of the Pentagon, straight down I-95. I was working in Richmond VA installing fiber optic cable at a military base. My crew and I were approached by the military police and I was told to shut down all construction and secure my equipment. As I had my guy's lock everything down, I tried to call my office, but could not get through. I hit another worker on my direct connect, but nothing would work.

When the area was secured, my crew and I went to our off-site to get our personal vehicles, and I continued to call my office and co-workers, but the cell phone would not dial out. We then decided we would all load up in my vehicle and go to our main office in Chantilly VA, about an hour and 45 minutes away.

Just as I was leaving the Richmond city limits, my phone rang. It was my wife, and I answered jokingly " how did you know I was coming home ? " I heard her crying and screaming, and then she told me we were being attacked. She told me about the towers and the Pentagon. She told me she was so scared, and please come home now.

My phone died after she said that, and we all tried to call family, but the lines were so jammed we just gave up and sped up I-95 to our homes.

I-95 was closed near the Pentagon for some time, but the next day, my wife, some friends, and myself went through the parkway past Reagan National Airport, under the 14th street bridge, and past what was left of the Pentagon. It was still burning, and the area was still full of smoke. I will never forget what I saw, and I will never forget that smell. We knew what needed to be done back then, and we need to remember what needs to be done now. NEVER FORGET !

Who The Heck Is This ?

This is not the original topic I had in mind for today, but I saw this piece of trash on the news this morning, and said WTF ? Where does this guy get off talking like that ? It really made me mad. Like him or not, GW is still the president of our country, and he should get a little more respect than that from a visitor from another country. And also, the way he talked about Palin, would he say things like that about her in front of her husband, or her sons ? I think not. Screw him, and all the trash that wants to " visit " us and talk like that. Here ya go Russell

I feel a little better now

Bring on The Debates

If we can ever get past all the problems with the experience, and the age, and what religion everyone is, we need to get down to business. Many people have made their decision as to who they are voting for based on party affiliation, but there are a lot of us who will decide based on different issues that will affect us.
Until the debates get started, there is really nothing else that can be said about the candidates. At this point in the game, almost all the dirt is laid out on the table for all to see, and the media is going through it with a fine tooth comb.
But people really don't care about McCains age, or Palins pregnant daughter. No one cares about Obama's background, or Biden's lobbyist son. The people at the conventions, and the one's wearing the buttons, and the ones with the signs and bumper stickers all over their vehicle are already sold on who they are voting for.
The people who will decide the election are the quiet ones. The ones who read and listen to both sides of the issues. Even I am leaning towards a certain candidate, but I am open to all ideas. When the time comes to cast my vote, I hope I am prepared enough to make the right choice.
It is time now to end the rumors, accusations, and mud-slinging, and become educated about what choices will benefit ourselves and our country. We need to understand what each candidate will do if they get the chance to run our great nation, and what long term effects it could have on us, good or bad
I will be the first to end the trash talk, and encourage others to do the same. We have 2 months until we make the decision that will affect us for the next four years, let's take the time to make the right one

What Are They Afraid Of ?

The recent conventions have been a buffet for the writers of talk shows and certain " news " programs. But I think they are loading their plates on just one side of the bar. Take Bill Maher for example

Nearly six minutes of monologue, and only one joke about Obama. The rest was directed at John McCain and Sarah Palin. Well, what about his opening after the RNC ?

Again, one joke about Obama, and the rest at McCain and Palin's expense, and some spillover onto Bush. Why is this ? Maher is not the only one I have found guilty of this, it is like this all over TV and radio. Why ? I believe it is because of fear. Our country has become so obsessed with political correctness, that we are afraid of offending anyone. Let's face it, a label like that is a career killer. Look at this funny clip I found

Portrayal Of Obama As Elitist Hailed As Step Forward For African Americans

Is it funny, or does it make you cringe ? What is the media afraid of, a woman with a voice or being labeled ? I am open to comments, let me know your opinion, that is, if you are not afraid

A Bad Connection ?

Is Dr. Khalid al-Mansour someone we need to know ? Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour, his full name, is well known within the black community as a lawyer, an orthodox Muslim, a black nationalist, an author, an international deal-maker, an educator, and an outspoken enemy of Israel.

A graduate of Howard University with a law degree from the University of California, Khalid al-Mansour sits on numerous corporate boards, including the Saudi African Bank, and Chicago-based LaGray Chemical Co. LaGray, which was formed to do business in Africa, counts former Nigerian President General Abdusalam Abubakar on its advisory board.

His writings and books are filled with anti-American rhetoric, resembling the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s disgraced former pastor. In a 1995 book, “The Lost Books of Africa Rediscovered,” he claimed that the United States was plotting genocide against black Americans.

Sounds like a man on a mission to me, but why would I waste my time reading news stories and watching video clips of him ? Well, check this out

That was a clip of Percy Sutton, who was contacted by Khalid al-Mansour who asked him to write a recommendation letter to Harvard for Obama. It seems that Mansour has been opening doors and funding him for a while. But al-Mansour’s sponsorship of Obama as a prospective Harvard law student is important for another reason beyond his Islamic and anti-American rhetoric and early Black Panther ties.

At the time Mr. Sutton, a former lawyer for Malcolm X, and a former business partner of al-Mansour, says he was raising money for Obama’s graduate school education, al-Mansour was representing top members of the Saudi Royal family seeking to do business, and exert influence in the United States. In 1989, for example, one year after Obama entered Harvard Law School, The Los Angeles Times revealed that Mansour had been advising Saudi billionaires Abdul Aziz and Khalid al-Ibrahim. Could it be that Obama was being put in place to exert the influence they wanted ?

Are the connections to these people just a coincidence ? What about his connections to the Weather Underground and William Ayers ? Have you heard of these people ? Take a look

Obama seems to be connected to people that have an agenda, that would want to cause destruction to the United States. These connections and friendships show me how Obama thinks and feels towards the United States when he is behind closed doors. I have no agenda that involves race or religion, I do have a problem with someone who would put our country in danger.

With only 2 months left until election day, The country needs to know who they are really cheering for

Under Attack

The big news story today, other than the hurricane, was Sarah Palin. After the initial shock of McCains VP pick, the attack began. Why ? Because she does not like her brother-in-law ? Because of issues with her daughter ? Let's get real. What person gets along with their in-laws, much less some members of their own family ? Who can criticize Palin about her pregnant daughter, that does not have a niece, cousin, daughter, or granddaughter that has not been in the same situation ? I am not condoning these issues, but I do not think her children are any of our business. As for the whole Trooper scandal, if they were going to find something derogatory about her, it would have already been told

I believe Palin is a regular person, just like me, and I believe she would be able to relate better to how I see things and my situations. Did anyone see this interview before she was officially chosen as McCains running mate ?

I like that. Just a regular person. Instead of dragging people through the mud and trying to make your opponent look bad, why not take the same time and money to tell me what is good about yourself ? I would much rather hear what you are going to do about Iraq, and about our energy problems. I would really love to hear a response to congress being out on a 5 week paid vacation on our dime. Until then, take cover because the bombs are dropping all around us
